Homemade Garlic Dinner Rolls Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Rolls:

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup warm milk (about 110°F/45°C)
1/4 cup warm water
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 large egg
For the Garlic Butter Topping:

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
1 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions:

Prepare the Dough:
In a large bowl, combine the warm milk, warm water, and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Sprinkle the yeast on top and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Add the softened butter, egg, salt, and flour to the yeast mixture. Mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes, until smooth and elastic. You can also use a stand mixer with a dough hook for this step.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
