Ingredients (paragraph style):
All-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, boiling water, and for the frosting: butter, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, and milk or cream. Optional chocolate chips or ganache for extra indulgence.
Preheat the oven and grease your cake pans. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, beat eggs, sugar, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add the dry ingredients, then stir in boiling water to make a rich, smooth batter.
Pour the batter into prepared pans and bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely.
